1. Explain the following terms in your own words:

The internet is most easily described as a lot of computers being connected through cables or digital signals across the world. Back in the days we needed to use computers to access the internet, but in 2020 the technology has made it possible to connect a lot of different devices to the internet and a world without it os hardly imaginable.

HTML is short for hyper text markup language and is the language for web pages. Everything you see on a web page is put together by different HTML-codes that decide how you view different elements on the page.

The browser is the software we use to access the internet. Usual browsers is Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Chrome etc.

PART TWO

Surf the web and find 10 sites you would consider to be great websites. Simultanously, make a list of 10 sites you consider bad websites. Remember to describe why you would define them as such.

Ten websites I consider to be great:

These pages have in common that the design is clean and the site is easy to navigate around. Finding the information I seek is easy and the pages does not feel cluttered with unnecessary elements. They are well thought through, and suits the brand and/or function well.

Ten websites I consider to be bad:

Some of these pages are so packed with elements and colors that one gets dizzy just looking at it. Others hardly have any information or are not even really a website. They all have a very poor design, and it’s hard to find the information one is looking for if it is there at all.
